How do You Get People to Sign Up, to Become Subscribers to Your List?
I will start right off by saying that I use the squeeze page method exclusively in my list building efforts. I believe it is one of the most profitable methods of building a list online. You have taken a huge first step by adding the popin to your web page, and with a catalogue web site like yours, it is one of your best options. Obviously, if you have been reading my articles and my books, you know that I am a huge proponent of a squeeze page, and that my entire business is based on the squeeze page process. I literally force my visitors to become subscribers if they want access to my web site. I feel that if they are not willing to give me their name and email, they will never give me their credit card info, so why even entertain them? I think the best incentive to entice someone to opt in to your email campaign is a free gift directly related to the niche in which they are searching. The free gift must be something they will value, and since they were looking for information...

How Do You Segment Your List?
There are two different ways to approach this challenge. The first way to approach this challenge would be to aggregate everybody in your list using sophisticated tracking software to correlate the source of the visitor with purchases made. The nice thing to using this software, is that you can build one list (I am assuming that it is a tightly targeted lists, if not, you should be using multiple lists), let the software do the intelligent work, and simply look at the results. The second way to approach this challenge would be to create a different squeeze page for every visitor source. By adding a unique Web form to each squeeze page, you can identify each purchaser at the time of purchase by the squeeze page, which they used to enter your website. The advantage to doing this is, it's actually quite...

Is Innovation the Buzzword for List Building - Surveys?

What Are the First Two Steps in List Building, and Why Are They So?
am going to assume that by first two steps you mean the actual steps of list building, as the true first steps are to determine your niche, and then your goal with your list, and then you can think of actually building the list. But since I assume you are asking about the mechanics of building the list, not the entire process, I will begin with the first two steps.
The first step should be that of getting an autoresponder service to collect your emails, to do all your mailing for you, and to keep your emails ...

Can You Really Build a List Without a Web Site?
First of all, the technical answer to this is, yes, you can build a list without a web site. You can just get an autoresponder, and advertise for people to email your autoresponder address and subscribe that way, which is terribly unprofessional. Or you can use a list building service, but then you are not really building a list for yourself – you are building a list for whomever owns the list builder, and they are letting you use the list.
So the real answer is that, no, you cannot really build a real list without a web site. You see, when I think of a list, I think of an asset. And if someone else owns my list, but just lets me use it, it is not really an asset to me....

List Building – How Can I Make My List Building Efforts Viral?
I am going to go against the grain here and say that I think it is very difficult to make your list building efforts viral, if you are just building a list for yourself.
There are two things that traditionally are considered to be viral list building efforts, and I will begin with the second of the two, and then go to the first one....

List Building Advanced - Article Marketing for List Building II
On the other hand, the link you provide in your bio could be to your squeeze page. You can then publish the article by submitting it to as many article directories as you can. This does four things for you. First you get a link back to your web page from the article directory. If you provided your squeeze page, this will help the listings of that page in the search engines. Google has openly stated...

List Building Basics - Basics of List Building in Internet Marketing III
A squeeze page is one designed specifically to secure an email address. A few people shy away from them when they recognize them, but they are more effective in getting the visitor's details than a simple opt-in form. The squeeze page provides a compelling reason why the visitor should give you their email address. It should have a good headline that catches the attention, and address the visitor as an individual. People like being address personally.
The message should be...
