As I came out of the dark and dirty subway station at 32nd Street and Eighth Ave in New York City- I could see Madison Square Garden. In front of the building a line of yellow taxi cabs were parked against the curb. One after another they took their passengers, and then sped off into traffic as if running in a NASCAR race.
